ABOUT ZULU LUXURY CHARTERS
Zulu Luxury Charters operates primarily out of North Queensland in Australia.
Tropical Port Douglas is our home base, located a scenic 50 minute drive north of Cairns airport. Queensland and in particular the Great Barrier Reef is flourishing with a variety of fish and coral species which is unmatched elsewhere on earth.
Aside from ZULU, we have two other sports yachts in our fleet. Our charter itineraries are tailored to suit your requirements and may include reef fishing, sports-fishing, snorkelling, scuba diving and cruising/exploring.
Light tackle and heavy tackle game fishing are popular options for keen anglers between July and November as marlin migrate to the GBR to spawn. Black marlin range from 7kg to over 500kg making the Great Barrier Reef arguably the best gamefishing destination in the world.
Scuba diving and snorkelling is also readily available to our guests so you can explore the wonders of the reef from below and get up close and personal with the locals. We have special access to famous dive sites and moorings ensuring you the trip of a lifetime.
Zulu is a custom 54ft Assegai game boat specifically designed to carve through the toughest of oceans efficiently and safely. The vessel is fitted out with the most current and technologically advanced navigation and stability systems to ensure it provides the utmost comfort and reliability in any conditions.
Zulu is one of the most technologically advanced game boats to hit the waters of Australia thus far.
She boasts a Seakeeper gyro, Furuno omni-directional sonar and a full range of custom rods, reels and terminal tackle to suit the targeted species of fish.
Zulu is also equipped with a dive compressor and snorkel equipment if you’d prefer to check out the marine life from below.

Levante is a 44 foot custom built Assegai game fishing vessel which has been designed to incorporate both luxury and top notch fishing facilities. Day trips and live-aboard options available.

Minke is a 39.4 Assegai, custom built express-style sports cruiser launched in October 2017. She is available for day trips and supports a number motherships on extended multi-day adventures adding a variety of activity options for our guests.

Our professional captains and crew can offer you a customised charter to suit your requirements, and always provide their guests with a very personal experience, wherever your preferred fishing destination.
They are familiar with all aspects of deep-water fishing in Queensland.
An experienced deckhand is available to rig your lines and take care of the bait and dirty work. Fully catered meals are also prepared by our crew onboard.

Captain Daniel Radcliffe
Meet Daniel (Dan)
Daniel is the captain of MV ZULU. Born and raised in Cairns, Australia, Daniel has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the marine industry and is a qualified Master 5 captain, diesel fitter and an experienced crewman in all aspects of fishing. Having spent much of his life on the Great Barrier Reef and having worked on the water for over ten years including over seven Cairns heavy tackle marlin seasons both on the deck and in the helm, he has worked his way up through the ranks and enjoys sharing incredible oceanic experiences with his guests . Daniel’s extensive experience with the fleet also extends to him overseeing all aspects of maintenance & upkeep of Levante & Minke when required.
Chris Blanch
Meet Chris (Mustard)
Chris is a Master 5 skipper MED 2. Joining our fleet in 2021 as a crewman, Mustard has over 20 years experience on the deck and loves nothing more than sharing a laugh with the guests and crew. Having fished entirely throughout the east coast of Australia, including a variety of fishing tournaments with numerous team wins under the belt, Mustard’s knowledge is invaluable. He also enjoys creek fishing and is especially skilled in salt water fly -fishing (flats and sight casting).
When not on board, Mustard puts his cheffing degree to good use and fires up the smoker to slow cook a variety of drool-worthy meals (some of which make it on board for tasting sessions!). Mustard is known to go out of his way to put a smile on our guests faces and ensure they leave with some good stories to match.
We pay respect to the late Captain Casey Dent (2020)
Casey was our Operations Manager and Captain of MV ZULU – Working closely with the owner and shipwright throughout the design and build of ZULU, Casey was a true legend of the seas, having spent his entire life on the water and as a respected charter captain for over 20 years. He is greatly missed and rides along in spirit on every ZULU expedition. Capt. Daniel Radcliffe also worked under Casey for many years – The team spirit and level of service continues in honour of this great captain and human being.
